What is anti-corrosion steel pipe?
Anti corrosion steel pipes are steel pipes processed using anti-corrosion technology, which can effectively prevent or slow down chemical or electrochemical reactions during transportation and use. Due to its particularity, anti-corrosion steel pipes are widely used in pipeline engineering fields such as long-distance water transportation, petroleum, chemical, natural gas, heat, sewage treatment, water sources, bridges, steel structures, ship water transportation, and pile driving.
What are the advantages of anti-corrosion steel pipes?
It combines the mechanical strength of steel pipes with the corrosion resistance of plastics. The exterior wall coating is larger than 2.5mm and resistant to scratches and collisions. The friction coefficient of the inner wall is small, which can effectively reduce energy consumption. The inner wall meets hygiene standards, is smooth, and is not prone to scaling. This curing agent has self-cleaning function and low viscosity of solvent-free epoxy coatings.
Analysis of coating materials for anti-corrosion steel pipes
There are generally three types of anti-corrosion steel pipe materials, one of which is solvent-free epoxy coating. The cured coating has excellent anti-corrosion performance, hardness, and density. Has a relatively suitable service life and curing time. In addition to excellent insulation and chemical stability, coatings have also made significant progress in adhesion, resistance, impact strength, and peel strength. During construction, there is no solvent evaporation, and the film-forming degree can reach over 200 times without pinhole defects. To save energy and protect the environment, use 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipes.
The characteristics of cold wound tape and E-heat shrink tape are that they are suitable for main anti-corrosion steel pipes of various materials, while other methods are suitable for main anti-corrosion steel pipes of the same or similar materials. In China, there are many steel pipelines such as petroleum asphalt, polyethylene jacket and polyethylene foam jacket, epoxy coal tar pitch, coal tar pitch enamel, epoxy powder and three-layer composite structure. The two widely used methods for pipeline anti-corrosion are three-layer PE composite structure and single-layer powder epoxy. There are also 3PE cold wound anti-corrosion steel pipes and 3PE anti-corrosion pipes.
Cold wound tape has the characteristics of anti-corrosion, simple operation, good waterproof performance, low strength, and being greatly affected by the environment. Epoxy powder anti-corrosion adopts electrostatic spraying method, which is fused with the same material pipe body, with strong anti-corrosion ability and strong adhesion. However, epoxy powder has poor water resistance but high water absorption rate, which can reach 0.83%. Epoxy powder anti-corrosion is not suitable for use in the construction of water pipelines, as it not only has poor water resistance but also requires high quality on-site construction, making it difficult to control.
